Hello again from the city of love. For this week's post, I'm taking you to Montmartre which is in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. If you're a film fanatic, you may recall this location from Amélie or Moulin Rouge. Most tourists, myself included, visit the main attractions and postcard/Instagram worthy spots. However, there are numerous pockets of isolated areas that are equally charming. I love walkable cities because it gives me the opportunity to stop and go as I please. I wandered through so many different neighborhoods, found quirky cafes, a plethora of boulangeries and beyond. Words really cannot describe how magical this city is regardless of season. Watch the video below and continue reading to virtually travel to Montmartre with me!
Bonjour mes amis! I'm taking you to a bucket list location... PARIS, FRANCE! After finishing up work around Europe and England, I took my first long PTO to Paris! I ventured to the city of love alone but it's impossible to be lonely! From numerous stores scattered around the city to boulangeries in every corner, I looked forward to a new adventure every minute! I had to break up my Parisian series into a couple of posts or it would be terribly long! Click to see more and stay tuned for the rest of my trip!
Welcome back to my Summer 2022 travel journey! The next stop of my trip was Birmingham, United Kingdom. I met a key opinion leader for one of my studies and while I was there, I did a little exploring. It was only a two night stay but I made the most of it! Continue reading for pictures and watch my journey below!
When you think of Belgium, what is the first city that comes to mind? Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent? I was on the same boat until I traveled well over 24 hours to get to Bruges (Brugge), Belgium. It's a charming little city boasting with so much life and extremely friendly residents. I do want to highlight that there are no direct flights into Bruges. I flew into Brussels and my options were to hop onto a train or take a private car/taxi. I went with the latter and fell asleep during the two hour transit (the hotel arranged for my driver to meet me at the airport). Bruges was so magical and since it's so much higher up in the equator compared to San Diego, it was still bright at 11PM!!! This was at the end of June 2022! Watch the rest of my trip below and continue on for more pictures!
How do you style a grey beanie?
One of my favorite ways to pair this cozy wool cableknit hat is with a comfortable, casual outfit. This is something I would wear out on a cool Autumn day in California. It never really gets too cold which is why I'm still able to wear shorts during Autumn. Is this something I'm wearing now? DEFINITELY NO. It's still scorching hot and it doesn't seem as if the temperature is decreasing anytime soon however, I can dream of cooler weather! Autumn happens to be my favorite season because not only because my birthday falls within it but because of the adrenaline rush people get with holidays! The last leg of the year never disappoints with the decor and festivities all around the US. If you've never experienced an American holiday event, you don't know what you're missing!
XO,
Adrienne
You can watch my travel debacle on YouTube and/or continue reading this post! I took pictures all of my meals on my flight with Air Canada Business from San Diego, CA to Manchester, England.
I never knew a lilac bag was something I needed! I actually ordered the small Emily crossbody in eggplant/aubergine however, The Kooples sent me the wrong color... I decided to keep this bag anyways since it's just too cute! It's much more functional compared to other crossbody bags in my possession and pairs well with many of my outfits. The first time I wore this bag out in public was with this asymmetrical white shirt dress. It was an incredibly windy day though it created a nice effect for outfit photos. I captured this in front of The Guild Hotel in San Diego while there was a floral pop-up event. This leans more into Spring but with the weather still hitting upper 80's, I plan on wearing white summer-esque clothing for the foreseeable future!

I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I know I've said that I would be returning to my blog numerous times before but it just so happens that life gets in the way. For those who aren't aware, I started a YouTube channel and began focusing much more on video content. It's a sign of the times... However, I truly miss writing. They say if you're passionate about something then you'll make time for it. It just so happens that my writing bug is itching again therefore, I'm returning to one of my first online mediums, Blogger. If you have been following along on my Youtube or Instagram, you already know I ventured off to Europe. Travel was a nightmare this summer but I did document every single instance both on video and pictures. I plan on posting my travel series here but you can get a head start on my channel!
The outfit featured here was taken approximately 4 years ago in Old Poway. I still almost everything and it's really the perfect summer outfit. It's cool enough to wear in the daytime yet warm enough to keep me cozy at night. It's one of my coveted Free People dresses! What's your favorite summer look?
Hello everyone! It's been quite some time since I posted any pharmacy related material on my page. With the pandemic consuming our lives for the past 2 years, I put all of my ASHP Midyear content on pause. It just felt out of touch since things were taking place virtually and my experience at ASHP Midyear Las Vegas 2019 was not exactly applicable to applicants during the pandemic. However, it looks like the annual conference will be held in person this year in... LAS VEGAS!
I wanted to shed some light on attire since this is something I find perplexing. No... I don't mean it's rocket science but there are so many YouTube videos and forums on what you shouldn't wear or how much make-up is appropriate. I came across a video of a resident saying she would "immediately fail" any candidates wearing heels. I could go on with all the absurd things I read and/or watched but that would span a few paragraphs.
Pictured are outfits I wore to my PPS Interviews during Midyear. I wore heels. I wore make-up. I got a ton of reception invites. Moral of the story. Wear something that makes you feel confident. Yes, do stay within the conservative and professional realm but don't forget to have some fun with it. I also created a YouTube video of actual looks I wore to interviews beyond PPS.
Don't forget, you can see all of my Pharmacy Blog Content here.
Audrey Hepburn's effortless Parisian chic style will remain one of the most coveted and inspirational looks for generations to come. For today's outfit post, I recreated one of her most well known all black outfits featuring slimming cigarette pants/cropped trousers with a long-sleeved top. To add a modern flare, I chose a top with flare cuffs and a do-it-yourself ruffled lace and bead around the neckline. Instead of pairing this outfit with heels, I kept it more conventional Audrey by complementing this all black look with leopard flats.
For those who don't follow me on social, I now have a YouTube Channel and I posted an Audrey Hepburn inspired lookbook! Check it out here!
This post was a long time coming. A few years back, I had the honor of watching Itzhak Perlman conduct AND perform with the LA Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I typically prefer watching concerts at night however, this daytime performance was still magical. For those who do not know, I am a violinist! I was concert master of my high school orchestra and played in a philharmonic. Due to time constraints, I unfortunately had to withdraw from the philharmonic during undergrad. I do miss being part of a group and creating beautiful music. Maybe I'll join an amateur group in the future... who knows! Anyways, I am parting ways with this dress and you can purchase it here. I have only worn it once and it was for this particular occasion.
I took a bit of a hiatus from my blog however, I will start posting things here again. I miss writing!
