Emily In Paris
Monday, November 16, 2020Bonjour mes amis! Comment ça va? It's been quite some time since I've written anything in French but I'm currently trying to improve my accent! What else would you do in a pandemic, right? I can still read and write proficiently but my accent... ce n'est pas très bon. I'm sure most of us have binged watched Emily in Paris by now so I wanted to create a lookbook inspired by the female leads of the show! I completely forgot to take DSLR pictures of my looks but here's a side-by-side comparison of my twist on the looks via snapshots of my reel. I hope you guys enjoy!
- Sylvie -
Maybe it's just me but I thought Sylvie had the best fashion sense on the show. She embodies that je ne sais quoi French aesthetic. See my Sylvie outfit inspo in motion with the reel at the end of this post. I loved this houndstooth jacket look but instead of pairing this look with a shoulder bag, I went with my Lady Dior satchel.
This all black outfit is so simple yet chic! I love it because it aligns with my style and is easy to recreate! I love duster jackets so I jumped at the opportunity to recreate this look! As Sylvie did, I cinched my waist with a statement black belt and gold buckle. I cannot remember what shoes Sylvie wore but I opted for a bit of color with my cream and black heels.
Business casual? That's what this black and white outfit screams! This is probably a staple uniform for any girl who wants to make it; you can never go wrong with this combination! It's great for a typical work day or for interviews!
- Emily -
This bright and bold pink outfit is something I would wear back during my undergraduate years. It's definitely and eye-catching outfit!
This chunky sweater and rain-boot combination is something I wear when it starts pouring in California. I thought this was one of the most normal outfits Emily Cooper wore on the show! What's not to love about this look? Super comfy. Shows off your personality. Extremely cute!
A boyfriend jeans look I can finally get behind! I love this sophisticated relaxed look of comfy jeans and a cropped jacket! I wore this a lot as the pandemic began and I haven't stopped!
This blue look gave me the opportunity to finally document this periwinkle motorcycle jacket I got last year!
- Camille -
I'm 100% sure I've worn this exact same motorcycle outfit to school! Camille's minimalistic approach to fashion is just amazing.
Another boyfriend jeans look on the show? Yes, please! I don't own any oversized blazers but I revamped Camille's look with my houndstooth + leather jacket.
I don't remember seeing Camille's black turtleneck and red leather skirt outfit in any episodes but I saw it numerous times on blogs. This gave me the opportunity to wear a red leather skirt that I purchased over 5 years ago, whoops! Making use of items I already have in my closet!
This full on denim look Camille wore to visit her family isn't something I would rock on a daily basis. I'm not one to wear denim on denim but it was nice to try something different!
XO,
Adrienne
