Had this been any other year, this purple ensemble would have made it's way into my work wardrobe. However, 2020 is sure going to be one for the books. Even though the entire country has been in a back and forth tug of war of opening and closing, I honestly feel that I've been presented with many great opportunities for professional growth. For those of you who are following me on Instagram, you already know that I was hired on as a Clinical Scientist through an entirely virtual process. It feels strange that I have yet to meet my team in person. Online interviews, whether it's through WebEx, Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts, has been a peculiar process. I'll expand in another post however, this new work from home lifestyle has given me more time to think about the direction of my blog. Since I'm spending so much more time at home, I will be incorporating more life and interior design snippets in my posts.
Anyways, I paired this lovely Leifsdottir Swan Pleated Mini Skirt with a purple Sleeveless Ruffled Top that has made an appearance on my blog in the past! It's all about working old pieces to make them look like new, right? I thought these two pieces paired nicely with each other and to add a pop of color, I wore my Red and Hot Pink Suede Ivanka Trump sandals. Until next time!
Hello again! I thought it would help to include all the questions I was asked during my PPS interviews at ASHP Midyear. Make sure to draft your answers beforehand and rehearse in front of a mirror - I went over my interview etiquette in a previous post and all the same rules apply - check it out here. I rehearsed my answers to the questions below so many times that I could say it forward and backward in my sleep. This isn't an all inclusive list and it varies from program and company but I do hope this helps you with your preparation! I know this is easier said than done but you'll soon notice that there's really no time to be nervous during your PPS interviews. I had 21 interviews and so many back-to-back's that I became numb to the process. Once you're in the hot seat, that adrenaline rush kicks in and your confidence takes over. I got so accustomed to it that I could predict what they were going to ask! You'll see what I mean once you're there! Best of luck! 😁 UPDATE: PSA - MIDYEAR 2020 IS NOW ENTIRELY VIRTUAL.
Cue Nutcracker music! I remember playing this piece and numerous other soundtracks in orchestra... oh, memories. I enjoyed performing each score then (re)watching the movie to pick up all the details *music nerd*! Nevertheless, I came up with this title, SugarPLUM Fairy, because of this adorable cape top! I'm a bit indifferent to purple... I don't own many items in this color scheme but I'm crushing on plum/aubergine. This top has been in my possession for a while yet it's been quite difficult to find a matching bottom. I finally settled with my brown leather pants and I believe it worked out just fine, wouldn't you agree? I finished this outfit off with heels and a necklace following the purple scheme. These pictures were taken way before COVID... definitely need some more inspo for new content! Until next time!
