Playing with blues today! If there’s an opportunity to spruce up an otherwise boring item, I’ll take it! I was looking for a crisp collar button down and this midnight blue one caught my eye. The glistening buttons were the first thing to stand out among all the other classic pieces on display; I knew I had to add this to my collection immediately! Instead of opting for a simple bottom, I paired this top with an asymmetrical brocade pencil skirt. To add a little more jazz to this look, I wore my jeweled Kurt Geiger heeled mules - the silver crystals that span the top of these heels match the buttons on the button down!

My favorite outfit when I’m in a hurry is a blazer and jeans combo. I paired this black corduroy blazer with brown elbow patches on top of a silk collar button down and flare jeans. I kept my accessories simple with my Saint Laurent envelope bag and Nine West heels.

A black power suit is always a good idea when you have nothing to wear. I love this A.L.C. blazer since it cinches my waist and has gold buttons that line the front of this piece and along the sleeves. It adds a little more depth and character to an otherwise muted look. Since I wanted the focus to remain on my blazer, I kept everything else simple!

Polka dots are such a classic print that work irrespective of season and style. It's still pretty warm so I'm able to wear dresses without layering up... I wanted to take advantage of the sun while it still makes an appearance on this side of the equator. I paired this black and white cap sleeve ruched dress with a floppy sun hat and minimal accessories. Even though I don't drink, this is would be an outfit I'd wear to a vineyard.

I hope you're having a wonderful summer! I cannot believe August is coming to an end so rapidly! There's so much that has happened in my life since my last post; keep updated with me on my instagram @adriennenguyenn. I spent 4th of July weekend in Las Vegas and to say it was hot and humid would be an understatement. It felt so cool inside the hotels and casinos but once we stepped foot outside, it was a sweat fest. Too keep cool, I wore this two piece set! I ended up with some odd tans but it was worth it!

There's nothing quite like a midi dress and cardigan combination; it screams both Old Money and French Girl in such a simple outfit. On top of that, the blue and white color scheme makes this a tad bit preppy. This cardigan is from Claudie Pierlot and I purchased it in Paris a few years back. I've style this with denim, shorts, and dresses! It's a versatile piece that's great all year round! Here, I paired it with a white eyelet dress for brunch and shopping over the weekend.

Spring is notoriously fickle. The day starts off cold, cools off midday, warms up by 20 degrees in the afternoon and then dips drastically as soon as the sun disappears into the horizon. I try to be as prepared as possible whenever I'm outdoors... also, I get cold pretty fast so I make sure I have at least a light jacket nearby at all times. I love this floral dot one from Anthropologie. It screams Spring and it's extremely versatile. I paired it with a periwinkle midi pleated skirt for a girly Parisian outfit.

This corduroy blazer was my holy grail in undergrad. I wore it so often since it was such an easy outerwear piece that went with everything. I recently took this jacket out of retirement and started giving it some more time to shine. People often say that black and brown don't mix but I do believe they complement each other very well. I love the contrast of the brown suede elbow patches and area under the lapel against the black corduroy. I wanted to pay homage to my undergrad self so I made this look minimalistic and preppy. I wore a simple white sweater underneath along with skinny denim. To give this a pop of color, I wore my silver sneakers. As a student, I relied on my big totes to carry all of my essentials including my laptop. Though I still have those totes, I wanted to create an outfit of something I would wear everyday and this Lady Dior is a bag I would pair with this look.
