was physically at work for just one day and it was a rather casual meeting so I wore one of my favorite trench coats. The weather is rather fickle in SSF so I always need a layering piece! I also run cold so I layered my cashmere sweater on top of a collar shirt. This was one of my outfit formulas in college that I carried to my corporate life!

As a woman who travels often for work, having easy no fuss pieces is a must. This simple shirtdress works well not only on it’s own but also as a lightweight jacket on top of a solid foundation. For this look, I wore it as a simple dress and added some simple black accessories. I went straight to the airport so I swapped my d’orsay heels for platform sneakers.

I only had one evening in Philly and a colleague found a well known cheesesteak location… apparently there’s a friendly war for the number 1 spot. We tried Dalesaandro’s and it was SUBSTANTIAL. I got the mushroom chicken steak with extra cheese and I only managed to get through half of it. This place is cash only but worth a visit if you want to try a quintessential Michelin recognized spot.

Classic Jackie O Style for Work_Corporate Old Money Black and White Style_Maje Cropped Lace and Crochet Jacket _ Ted Baker Bow Top _ Calvin Klein Tweed Pencil Skirt_9 to 5 Style_Adrienne Nguyen

A classic black and white look for a day at the office. I started with an ivory base, sleeveless collar top with a high waisted pencil skirt, and added some black statement pieces. I always get so many compliments every time I wear this cropped lace jacket and these suede and leather kitten heel mules allow me to run around to meetings and work dinners without any pain!

Shopping my own closet allows me to be so much more creative. I transformed this shirtdress into a lightweight jacket and layered it over a pleated midi skirt. Since it was looking a bit too big, I added a little more definition with a belt.

Adrienne Nguyen_Business Casual Style_Blue Button Down Jeweled Top with High Waisted Brocade Pencil Skirt_Business Casual Old Money Corporate Style

Playing with blues today! If there’s an opportunity to spruce up an otherwise boring item, I’ll take it! I was looking for a crisp collar button down and this midnight blue one caught my eye. The glistening buttons were the first thing to stand out among all the other classic pieces on display; I knew I had to add this to my collection immediately! Instead of opting for a simple bottom, I paired this top with an asymmetrical brocade pencil skirt. To add a little more jazz to this look, I wore my jeweled Kurt Geiger heeled mules - the silver crystals that span the top of these heels match the buttons on the button down!

Monochromatic Blue

10 crosby derek lam pants Friday, May 08, 2026

A monochromatic blue look for a cool work day! It’s finally warm enough to wear sleeveless tops to the office again! I paired this slate grey vest that has silver buttons running down the middle with my midnight blue high waisted trousers. These are the most flattering pair of trousers I own that hug my legs in all the right places and makes my behind look a little more perky! Don’t worry, they’re still professional and do not raise any HR violations! Instead of opting for a completely monochromatic head to toe outfit, I broke it up with cognac colored accessories.

Black Florals

Black and White Old Money Business Casual Classy Modest Style_Adrienne Nguyen Black and White Corporate Look

My typical outfit formula when I have nothing to wear for work is a pencil skirt and top combination. This pencil skirt feels silky smooth on and has a black floral pattern on it. To keep it minimal, I paired it with a black long sleeve flare cuff top.
