Although summer hasn't officially reached its denouement, school is starting again and morning commutes will, once again, be horrendous. But the one perk about getting your geek on, again? The amazing S A L E S! I'm sure you have all heard of the major retailer, Macy's. If you haven't visited their website or stores in a while, NOW is the time! They are having a blowout sale for all your back to school clothing necessities! Dresses for under $20? Tops for under $15? They have everything to fit any price range and personality! Remember to use the PROMO Code: 'BTS' to get 20% OFF and get free shipping on all orders over $75!

I bought this Free People dress during the sale and it's perfect to combat the humid Southern California heatwave! Plus, you can do braless - definitely a pro! Even with this cut, the chest portion stays in place whether you're bending to pick something up or twirling around. But I must say, the back of this dress is so much better! Just look at the tassel details! Free People is included in the Macy's sale so hurry before your size disappears! Until next time!

Want to give your belle or beau a unique gift? Well, JORD watches has a wide variety of women's watches, as well as men's,  in their unique wood watch design! I fell in love with this turquoise and zebrawood watch the moment I saw it - this skeleton watch is part of the CORA Series. So why this watch? What attracts me to it?

This watch features Swarovski crystal markers along with sapphire crystal glass. But that's not what gets me all fired up! Nope, it's the ability to see the heart and soul of mechanical watchmaking. This is a semi-skeleton watch that showcases a bit of the mechanics on the face of the watch however, if you reverse the watch to the opposite face, you get to see all the essential elements that goes into making this zebrawood watch. The gears and wheels in action... Oh my, I'm easily amused!

Check out JORD Watches! JORD Watches is currently running a giveway on their website! The winner will be given a $75 e-voucher while everyone else who enters (excluding the winner) will receive a $20 e-voucher! NO PURCHASE NECESSARY! Can't get any better than that, right? Head on over to JORD Watches from now until July 24th to enter!

On those warm California days in January, I like breaking out of my sweater and pants or skirt routine for a lightweight dress. Though nightfall quickly brings in a brisk chill, the sunny weather demands skin baring attire. This Maison Jules midi dress clashes flowers, stripes and polka dots in the utmost appealing manner. If you look closely, you'll be able to see pleats on the bottom half of the dress - it does inhibit the whole "dress blowing in the wind" vibe but it's a great lunch date look! I finished off this outfit with wedged sandals which gives me height while keeping my feet comfortable! To transition this look into night, toss on a sweater and enhance your waist by cinching it with a belt! Until next time!

I just love the soundtrack for Pirates of the Caribbean, don't you? I mean, I have played it for THREE different concerts with a full orchestra. Whenever I feel a bit nostalgic, I whip out my violin to play the piece but it doesn't sound the same solo. The soundtrack to this movie conjures up images of drunken pirates, dark corridors, and it will be forever ingrained in my brain. Anyways, my sheer tank top pictured here with the skull reminded me of Pirates. I love the sequin and embroidery detail as well as the asymmetrical cut of this top. Sure, I do look like I'm not wearing pants from my backside but it's such a great casual summer outfit!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I watched Finding Dory recently with Jonathan and it was just too cute! Baby Dory's glossy eyeballs were to die for! Did you guys see it? I hope you're all enjoying your summer while it's still here! Until next time!

I find myself drawn to gypsy-bohemian patterns and looks when I'm shopping for home goods or clothes. Maybe it's because the most hyped about music festival, Coachella, is a few days away or that summer weather is now in full throttle in Southern California. Though this ensemble has a boho feel, I would not wear this to an outdoor festival with scorching temperatures. It's all about flowy dresses that make you feel liberated, flowers and fringes but I'll save that for another post. As for this outfit, I decided to finally wear this top (I bought this about 5 years ago and this is the first time I'm wearing it!). I love the warm hues of this paisley patterned top and how it just sits on me. To complete the look, I paired it with brown boots and a floppy hat.
