Tangerine Sherbert
Friday, August 23, 2024Spent the afternoon at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD). There were some new exhibits and portions of the museum that are typically blocked off were open to the public! One of my favorite installations is 1° 2° 3° 4° by Robert Irwin. I actually had to look up the name to one of the most infamous art pieces in San Diego. For those who are not familiar with it, this piece encompasses an entire room. The gallery's windows are cut to expose life beyond the walls which blends the air, sounds, and light from the sea to the interior of the museum.
Another must visit at the museum is the Sculpture Garden. There are numerous art pieces in the garden all set in front of the Pacific Ocean. Have you been? What's your favorite piece?
