Luxury Shopping in Paris
Thursday, March 30, 2023Bienvenue à les magasins dans le 8ème! I spent my Sunday morning shopping! I knew I wanted to purchase two/three designer bags in Paris so I dedicated some time during my trip. I read so many stories and saw so many clips of the horrendous lines leading out the stores however, it really wasn't bad. I spent 5-10 minutes outside Saint Laurent and 15 minutes outside Louis Vuitton. If you're wondering which locations I went to, I opted for the stores on Avenue Montaigne. Practically all of the designer stores are on this Avenue whereas the selection of stores on Champs-Élysées appealed more to the general public. Don't get me wrong, I would definitely make my way down there if it's your first time in Paris to get that experience. Plus, you'll get to see the Arc de Triomphe!
I absolutely adored my hotel! It was close to everything and in a relatively residential area... I experienced a very authentic Parisian lifestyle here!
I walked to the Champs-Élysées from my hotel and wanted to check out a coffee spot I saw all over the internet. No, it wasn't a French coffee house but rather a Starbucks! Yes, I know... why would I be drinking Starbucks in France... However, I just had to see just how beautiful this was in person! Are you also interested in visiting one of the fanciest Starbucks in the world? Here's the address: 3 Bd des Capucines, 75002 Paris, France.
As I made my way to the shops, I was delightfully surprised to see the organized bottles for recycling on trash day. Of note, this wasn't taken now. This was Summer 2022.
The image of the late Queen of England's face was on the Embassy of the United Kingdom's building in Paris.
I'm mesmerized by intricate details and I saw loads in Paris! Look at this door knob/handle!
Felt right at home when I saw a McDonald's! Though I must admit that I cannot recall the last time I ate at one! There were so many people around that area and I believe the line extended outside. I can assure you that most of the people there were tourists. It wasn't empty as it was in Emily in Paris.
I made my way to the end of the Champs-Élysées to take a selfie with the Arc de Triomphe. I met a lovely couple and we had an interesting talk about American politics. The husband snapped the picture below!
I forgot to mention that I went into Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées on my way to the Arc de Triomphe. It wasn't as crowded as I expected though I do prefer Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement.
Walking down Avenue Montaigne.
Exterior of the Saint Laurent store on Avenue Montaigne. I waited outside for just a few minutes.
I wanted the Sunset Bag in this Burgundy color however, it was unavailable. Although I did love this bag, I wanted something a little bigger.
I ended up with getting the black Saint Laurent Medium Envelope bag!
Next stop was Louis Vuitton!
I got the Louis Vuitton Twist MM Bag in Black with Gold Hardware!
Back at my hotel with my newest acquisition!
I absolutely adore my bags! Interested in seeing more of what I did in Paris? More to come!
XO,
Adrienne
