My go to look when I have to go outside (for anything now 😬#COVIDStyle) is something casual with a hint of street to produce that urban vibe. I love how roomy this dress is and it honestly works well alone but since it was a tad bit chilly, I decided to spice it up with layers and depth. These Leather Michael Kors Combat Boots were the first thing I added and they're one of the most versatile shoes I own. Played up or down, you cannot go wrong with with lace up boots! Next up was my long grey cardigan and then my grey UCSD beanie! I kept with the grunge vibe by pairing this outfit with my black 3.1 Phillip Lim Medium Pashli! Is this something you'd wear?
I bought this blue turtleneck with the intention of layering it under jackets for Winter however, since it's still pretty warm, I decided to spin this another way. I popped this on top of my sheer button down collar shirt and added a statement belt to give this look some more personality. This sweater vest is asymmetrical with the back being longer than the front so instead of wearing pants and cutting my figure into weird proportions, I opted for shorts and block boots! Are you into belting sweaters?
It was a pretty cold morning and I caught a case of the sniffles right as these pictures were being taken... Between my sneezing fits, I managed to be still for a few seconds to capture some shots of my outfit! Featured here is my brown boxy jacket that I pulled out from the bottom of my armoire! I keep finding lost clothing and I am not complaining! It's like pulling out new treasure without spending a pretty penny! To give this a more wintery feel, I combined this look with knee high shearling, suede and leather Ugg boots! Are you into boxy jackets?
Do you ever find yourself pondering about what life would be like if you lived in a parallel universe or could travel back in time? Maybe it's because I've watched The Sound of Music way too many times but I would love to run through an open field of grass, feel the wind through my hair and just be with myself and my thoughts. This outfit conjures up those feelings and I'm hoping I have the opportunity to venture out to parks this Spring for some much needed TLC with Mother Nature! However, with the pandemic raging on and the temperatures taking a dip, I'll be spending much more time indoors for now. I am thinking about setting up my tripod and taking pictures around the house... new moody concepts? Self-portraits? Possibly!
