I finally put up my flocked Christmas tree last night and I feel terribly short next to it - it's standing high at 7.5". For the twenty odd so years of my life, I've used your typical green Christmas tree as the main centerpiece and decorated with different ornaments depending on that particular year's theme. I tossed many household items when I moved to San Diego which was good in the sense that I was able to start over fresh. The only negative thing I can come up with having a flocked tree is the constant downpour of white pixie dust. I can only imagine the imminent mess when I actually begin placing ornaments onto the branches. I was wearing a black sweater while I was assembling the tree and it looked as if I just walked through a blizzard. Speaking of sweaters...

With the drop in temperatures, it's time to layer and bundle up! I was actually looking for puffer jackets and scarves during all the Black Friday madness for my trip to New York. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything decent. I've had a soft spot for New York City since I was a little girl and Gossip Girl only solidified my desire to work that much harder now so my future self can live in the Big Apple. Though I've visited New York in the past, I've always left the city craving another bite. Wanting to see more. Wanting to absorb more culture. More Art. More landmarks. More late night food. More "only in New York" things. The last time I was there was in 2013 for my Blooomingdale's collaboration. I miss the constant rush and how you're actually able to run into people you know all around Manhattan. True, I've only visited one borough but I'm adding Brooklyn to my list of "must see." I was planning on visiting this lively city during winter break but my vacation happens to be quite short this year due to block scheduling - aiming to visit in 2018 when time permits.

Since the weather gets toasty every so often in San Diego, I thought I'd finally share this asymmetrical mock neck bow top outfit! I wore this early October when it was still possible to wear sleeveless tops and skirts without freezing half to death. I might put together a similar outfit for my research presentation next Friday! If you're following me on Instagram, you might have noticed that a lot of my recent outfits are dark or some shade of blue. It's time to put more effort into my #OOTD by adding splashes of color! Hope you guys like this outfit! Until next time!

I cannot believe how long it's been since my last outfit post - 2 months!!! Life as a pharmacy student has definitely interfered with my ability to maintain blogging consistency. Sharing things on Instagram is much easier than shooting, filtering and editing an entire set of photos for one outfit... which is why I created a separate page on my blog that links my Instagram outfit details. I believe it will be a faster way for you to find out what I'm wearing. You can find that page linked HERE (Shop My Instagram) or in my sidebar under the VSCO circle.

For this breezy day out, I decided to pair my faux fur boxy top with a pleated leather mini skirt. I played around with brown hues by adding tortoise shell sunnies along with nude closed toe D'orsay block heels. I used to be big on accessories. Necklaces, bracelets, rings? The more the merrier! I didn't want to add too much noise to my look so I stuck with a black floral statement necklace with subtle mesh feathers.

In no ways am I parting with my blog. Though it may be a quick read or inspiration for others, my blog documents my life, my stories and my outfits beginning with my undergraduate years at UCI. I don't mean to be melodramatic but I am going to continue posting for as long as I can and no one can stop me! Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to maintain a high readership through my pharmacy posts. Those following me since the start of 2016 may have noticed that pharmacy has a way of making an appearance in each post. I am planning on transitioning my blog to include more pharmacy topics (such as my experience with IPPE retail and hospital rotations) and things prospective pharmacy students would like to see, read and know. I am also debating on rebranding my blog... decisions, decisions...

The future, unknown as it is, brings upon a sense of excitement. An allure of the unexpected. Until next time.

I cannot believe the year is almost over! I already finished my Foundations and Cardio block this quarter and I have my Pulmonary final coming up next Wednesday! I surprisingly got much more sleep this block which was only possible since I didn't attend class... I have a Type A personality and I'm what you would call a "good student" who typically attends all lectures however, I value sleep much more than waking up in the wee hours to fight for parking and hustle my way to lectures. I'm pretty I'll start attending lectures regularly after Thanksgiving.

Although we're well into Autumn, it is still warm in San Diego... despite the random bout of rain we experienced on Friday. We don't exactly experience all four seasons in California but when it does get chilly (I'm talking about the high 60's), I start bundling up like an eskimo. This outfit was actually shot earlier in October though it would have worked just fine earlier this week! A simple sheer top with shorts is a typical outfit I would wear to school - minus the heels, of course! I actually got this top as an undergrad but never had the chance to wear it... I actually forgot I had it until I started moving some of my clothes. Anyways, I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend! I'll be posting up a holiday gift guide in the very near future! Until next time!
