A simple outfit to say adieu to the Summer season. My dress comes with all the bells and whistles you could ever want: a fun print, invisible zipper, unique draping across the top and statement buttons on the side! I wanted the focus to remain on the dress so I kept my accessories in the same color family. I hope you enjoy this final bout of warm weather before colder temperature creep up!

Blue and White Striped Asymmetrical Skirt with Sheer White Top and Reed Krakoff Bag with Madewell calf hair leopard sandals_San Diego_Adrienne Nguyen

Summer is officially over though the warm weather is still lingering in San Diego. As much as I love the sun, I'm ready for some cooler temperatures so I can start layering! For today's look, I wore a sheer deep v-neck sleeveless top with my blue and white asymmetrical mini skirt. I kept my accessories simple with my calf hair sandals and my neutral Reed Krakoff bag. I'm hoping you're having a wonderful Fall!

Adrienne Nguyen_Free People Bohemian Dress

I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I know I've said that I would be returning to my blog numerous times before but it just so happens that life gets in the way. For those who aren't aware, I started a YouTube channel and began focusing much more on video content. It's a sign of the times... However, I truly miss writing. They say if you're passionate about something then you'll make time for it. It just so happens that my writing bug is itching again therefore, I'm returning to one of my first online mediums, Blogger. If you have been following along on my Youtube or Instagram, you already know I ventured off to Europe. Travel was a nightmare this summer but I did document every single instance both on video and pictures. I plan on posting my travel series here but you can get a head start on my channel!

The outfit featured here was taken approximately 4 years ago in Old Poway. I still almost everything and it's really the perfect summer outfit. It's cool enough to wear in the daytime yet warm enough to keep me cozy at night. It's one of my coveted Free People dresses! What's your favorite summer look?

Adrienne Nguyen_What to Wear to University_A simple crop top and dress combination outfit_olive green jacket

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I gained a couple of pounds since I stuffed my face with pie and cake all weekend long... it's 2020 and I'm getting my Winter body ready 😝! Anyways, even though I live close to the beach, I've been avoiding it like the plague. The lack of social distancing and the rising number of COVID-19 cases deterred me from embracing the sand in my toes and warm water. But I thought to myself... Black Friday = Crazy Deals = Everyone at the Mall. I tried my luck at the beach. I was stunned to see the sheer amount of people congregating on the sand, grass and water Maybe I'll be able to enjoy an empty beach when the temperature truly starts taking a dip 🙏

Onwards to this outfit, this is something I would typically wear to school. I love a great sleeveless duster coat and I've collected so many over the years! I paired my duster with a simple sheer dress topped with a crochet crop top. I added some contrasting textures with my faux fur strap and suede olive booties! Have a wonderful week! Until next time!

Brighten Up- Zodiac DIY Scarf Top

adrienne nguyen Thursday, September 01, 2016

I cannot believe that it's the first day of September! To celebrate the the end of a hot and humid summer, I wanted to wear something bold and bright. I had a bit of trouble coming up with something that would match this skirt so I decided to work some magic with my zodiac scarf. As in my other d.i.y. scarf top post (Check it out HERE), I wrapped it around my body and finished it off with a bow in front. I also added two shoulder straps to ensure nothing was accidentally exposed! I actually paired this outfit with the Zac Sac from Zac Posen but I forgot it at home - yes, I forgot my bag at home! My hands felt so empty during this outfit shoot but I worked with what I had. Anyways, I cannot stop wearing this crystal necklace courtesy of 9th and Elm (whoops, double negative). This website is unique unique since it features handmade and independent designs from numerous designers. Until next time!

Art of Enchantment

adrienne nguyen Tuesday, April 26, 2016

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend! People around my area tend to wear casual and comfortable clothes, i.e. t-shirts and jeans, however this holiday brought about a city full of pastels and floral dresses. I just love going to my local arts and crafts store during this time of year! If any of you have watched The Devil Wears Prada, then you might remember the infamous quote, "Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking." I know it might be a bit passé but who can resist a good floral dress, top or jacket? Anyways, I decided to whip out this floral collage dress by Tracy Reese from the back of my closet. To maintain a demure appearance, I decided to stick with the rose color scheme that was already present on my dress.
