Date night in Malibu consisted of a piano concert and Mediterranean food. Chad Lawson is one of my favorite pianists. He composes some of the most beautiful pieces which we had the honor of listening to over the weekend. In addition to performing all of my favorite pieces, I was introduced to some new ones. Learning the back story of these pieces gave them new meaning and it allowed me to conjure up new emotions.
I didn’t think I’d have the opportunity to speak to the man himself but I was able to chat and snap some pictures with Chad 🤩 He’s such a kind person! We got one of his vinyls to add to our growing collection! I also wanted his sheet music but it was unfortunately sold out when we got there.
Afterwards, we went to dinner at Taverna Tony in Malibu. It’s all about the vibes there with a live band and belly dancer! We were surprised at just how crowded it was at 10pm!
