Wanna Get Away?

With Spring Break right around the corner, I wanted to share some things I would pack for a little weekend get away. Although I subdivided these into separate categories, I would bring all of these items along for the trip. Defining specific regions just gives you an idea of the attire I would wear. First up is the countryside! Though I have only visited the ruals of Australia, I do want spend a weekend in Napa Valley or if I were to go international, Provence ( A dream of mine! ). I believe a gingham dress, espadrilles and a sun hat would fit the ambiance. Not only that, the pictures would look amazing!

Next is the Mediterranean. With fine cuisine and pure, blue oceans, as in Santorini, you need something that can serve dual functions. If this is just a short escape and you want to pack light, why not throw in a skirt that can serve as a transitional piece. For your daytime adventures, pair this M. Grifoni Skirt [ 7 ] with a light weight floral top from RED Valentino [ 6 ]. As the sun starts to disappear and clear ink skies dominate, you can trade in your light weight top for this fun, flirty sequined top from RED Valentino [ 8 ].

Last is the tropics or, if you are staying local, your nearby beach. If it is still a bit too cold to wear a bikini, the best alternative would be a maxi! For Spring, I would pick one in a bold, bright print and pair it with neutral sandals. A maxi allows for easy movement and is perfect for a vacation!

Rorschach Inkblot

Spring time blues in California this week! The weather is making quite an interesting detour and it seems as if some scattered showers will be resonating well into next week. I suppose this may be a good time to get some "Spring Cleaning" in. But for those who are experiencing better weather or plan on going elsewhere, do you guys have any Spring Break traditions? Traveling to Cancun or Tijuana or possibly an exotic island such as the Maldives, Bali or Fiji? Whatever your plans may be, I hope you enjoy this new season. Anyways, I received this interesting dress from OASAP a few days ago. It is entitled "Sequined Floral Tunic Dress" however, I believe the print resembles the infamous Inkblot Test by Rorschach. It's probably just my imagination running wild again... What's your first impression of this print? Anyways, this dress is great for a day out or grabbing a bite to eat with friends. It serves a dual function since it can function as an every day dress or for work! Hope you guys enjoy this post! Purchase this dress HERE.

Mini MAC

A quick post featuring this very versatile Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Crossbody - courtesy of Snapette. Winter is reaching its denouement and the sun seems to rise earlier each day... making it that much more difficult to find a place to take outfit shots. For those of you who are feeling the heat, I hope you are finding ways to keep cool! Anyone want to hit the beach? (:

Dark Horse

The rain has ceased and it feels as if Summer arrived a bit too early this year but I'm loving the sunshine... more Vitamin D for me! The perpetual state of summer in California is something I take for granted. I also need to be more committed to my daily regimen so I can stay healthy! Anyways, when I first saw this top at Zara, I did not realize that it was a horse... I just thought it looked nice, haha. To complement this top, I chose to pair it with black leather striped pants from Zara and Michael Kors boots

The Secret Classicist

There has been some stagnant rain here and there but the sun is able to quickly find it's way out behind the clouds. The sound of rain drops trickling on the roof or tapping against the window evokes a whirlwind of thoughts. Reminiscing of past times and conjuring up scenarios for the future ends up consuming me. As the grey clouds are dominated by dark ink skies and the wind begins to increase in velocity, the desire to walk on the sand next to the ocean reaches a climax. The need to be in solitude to ponder about life surpasses the need for any other interaction. But, enough with my rambles. Here is an outfit I wore when the sun was hours upon arrival. These gloves have been in my possession for about two years now and I wanted to incorporate them into my attire. I believe they add a sense of sophistication and allure as Audrey Hepburn; even though they aren't arm length. To accessorize, I chose to add faux fur cuffs on top of my boots.
