Cayenne In the Mix

WARRIOR PRINCESS. How is everyone? Please excuse my absence from the blogosphere! Do you guys ever catch yourself in the midst of an exquisite day dream? Well, I took a Native American class during my second year in college and this dress reminded me of a Pow Wow I attended at UCI! The people I became acquainted with at the event were incredibly nice and VERY generous. Anyways, this led me to imagine myself as a Native American girl running fields of grass, picking food, and prancing around a man built fire! On another note, I received this amazing shift dress complete with leather belt courtesy of Sugarlips! I love how the colors complement each other and the feather leaf leather belt adds a nice touch- it cinches the waist to add more definition to my figure! You can purchase this dress HERE!

I STARTED SCHOOL ON YESTERDAY! Time flies by so rapidly-this is my last year as an undergraduate! I was a bit disheartened to roll out of bed at 6AM for my 8AM class but it felt great to be back in school. Although I miss my lazy summer days, it was a bit tedious. My first class was Plant Cell Biology: I cannot believe how much information I learned on my first days- good thing! My professor transformed plants into a wonderful entity! As for my second class, Language & Brain, the professor was hilarious! Today,I had Virology at 10AM and Immunology at 12PM.  It sucks that I have class every day but it's my last year - at least this means I will have a less intense schedule come Winter and Spring quarter!

Hippie Love

MODERN HIPPIE. What Southern Californian girl would I be if I didn't include a picture of the beach on my blog?! It would be nice to take pictures on the beach during the peak of summer but the it was just too sunny and there were just too many people. Of course, I chose to go to the beach when it was sprinkling! I love the scenic, serene atmosphere the beach exudes however, my skin cannot stand being in the sun for long periods of time. Anyways, I was driving along Pacific Coast Highway and decided to pull over to walk on the beach; sand is a natural exfoliant so all is well! I should have dropped my bag for the pictures... no idea why I held onto it! Well, Summer is coming to an end and hopefully I can squeeze in another beach post before Autumn arrives!

Pocket Full of Daisies

BOHEMIAN. I have grown quite lazy ever since I finished Summer Session so my attire is mostly comprised of random tops, flare jeans, and shift dresses. I went out to the market to get some groceries and I decided to snap some pictures since my blog has been lacking real outfit posts! Though I do not "dress-up" as often during summer, I am getting a lot studying done!

Chloe Fashion Show: FNO

Fashion's Night Out. I attended FNO at South Coast Plaza with my mom and Jonathan! I must say that the Chloe Fashion Show was impressive however, it was way too short! I loved all of the lightweight dresses & blouses and how pastels were incorporated into their Fall-Winter 2012/2013 Collection. No more boring shades this Autumn! I cannot wait until this treacherous Southern California weather is gone so I can start piling on layers. As for my outfit, I decided to wear a simple dress with a bold design; looks like a very creative (or bored) person picked up a pen and decided to doodle all over the place! Of course, I couldn't resist accessorizing... so I added a hot pink belt and kept the rest of the outfit in neutral tones.

The Golden Butterfly

BUTTERFLY SILHOUETTES AT DUSK. I finally received my necklace from OASAP after 2 weeks from my order and it looks amazing! I believe it can make any outfit look "high fashion." Though I must say I was quite frustrated with the magnet that locks it in place. Underneath the body of the butterfly lies a magnet that connects the wings together. However, the magnet fails to keep the necklace in tact. My mom had to stop and tell me that my necklace was unhinged so many times during this particular photo shoot. This isn't the sort of necklace I would wear to any important event lest become irritated by the fact that the necklace clasp won't hold it together. On the other hand, it's gorgeous and it WOULD BE something I would wear out to lunch or anything that doesn't require a lot of upper body movement! You can purchase this necklace HERE.

Anyways, I am officially done with Summer Session! Therefore, I will be attending Fashion's Night Out and possibly some other events at Fashion Island during Style Week OC 2012!
